Content Transfer for Mac is a software to transfer your music, video, photos, podcasts and playlists in an easy way. You can use the 'Drag & Drop' function to move the files from iTunes to your Walkman. The software will automatically sort the files to the appropriate folders on the player. Adding words for captions to Caption Glossaries in advance enables faster captioning. Caption Glossary can be created on a PC/Mac, as well as on the application. You can add a large amount of words to Caption Glossaries on your PC/Mac in advance, using its big screen. At a shooting site, you can use synced glossaries on Transfer & Tagging add-on.

Separate files can also be transferred between your phone and Mac by using “drag and drop” in a file browser. You can also backup and restore your phone content (availability depending on phone model). If you’re new to Sony devices, and your previous phone was an iPhone, you can use Xperia™ Transfer to move your content from the iPhone to your new Sony device.

Requirements:

  • Mac OS version 10.6 or later
  • 1 GHz Intel processor (64 bit processor required for phone software update)
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 60 MB hard-disk space for program installation
  • iTunes 7.0 or later (recommended)
  • iPhoto version 08 or later (recommended)
  • Java SE 6 required for phone software update

Installation instructions:

  1. Download the application to your Macintosh computer. Make a note of which folder you download it to.
  2. When download is complete, installation may start automatically. If not, locate and double-click the “Sony Bridge for Mac.dmg” file.
  3. When prompted, drag the Sony Bridge for Mac icon into your Applications folder.
  4. Eject the disk image. It is not needed once the application is installed.
  5. Sony Bridge for Mac is now found in your Applications folder. Double-click to start.
  6. The application will start with the same language settings as your computer. To change language settings, see the computer manual.
  7. Please read the End-User License Agreement carefully. Click Agree to continue.

This function imports voice memo added by the camera along with a still image and automatically converts the memo into text and appends it as a caption. Using with the automatic FTP upload function, which starts the FTP upload of images sequentially as they are given captions, you can deliver images without manually operating the application.

Up to 50 IPTC Metadata Presets can be registered. As the appropriate IPTC metadata can be immediately called out according to the subject, high-speed and reliable tagging/captioning is possible.
You can also register FTP upload presets created with the Transfer & Tagging add-on in the camera’s FTP server settings.*7
Also, you can resize, compress, and crop still images according to your usage when delivering your images via FTP.
